Retail Week LIVE is the annual retail gathering where ideas are shared, strategies are debated and solutions are formed. They create a space that stimulates conversation and collisions – of both ideas and people.
It’s where the brightest and most curious minds across retail talk openly. About the things that matter. From people, to performance, to planet and products. They create, curate and champion the great narratives, the great ideas and the great personalities from across UK retail.
They bring the art of storytelling to the heart of retail.
It was the 6th year of delivering this event, so the client knew that Showcase could create and deliver this prestigious confex. Due to the continuing recovery from the pandemic, they wanted enhancements to previous events, not radical changes. This meant Showcase had to build on its impeccable service delivery not just to Retail Week Live but all of its sponsors and exhibitors.
Showcase created a main stage with DMX-controlled strip lighting that allowed Showcase to alter the mood of the lighting as the event migrated from the conference to the award ceremony. The stage had a 3D effect, to add drama and theatre, to what in fact was a 2D stage.
Showcase designed and created multiple breakout areas including a VIP boardroom area for CEO content sessions, this particular area’s interiors used furniture from Showcase’s boutique collection.
Showcase also delivered and managed the expo services for exhibitors including stand build, print, signage (50 pieces) and power services.
Immersive activations were designed managed and delivered for The Retail Trust, the event’s charity partner. These included a 4×4 LED box which was designed to destress visitors through first-hand sensory involvement. Showcase created visual content, with accompanying soundscapes and diffusers emitting complementary aromas.
Showcase’s involvement included: design, space plan, pre-production, manufacturing and delivery on site, as well as providing 120 pieces of furniture from their own collection.
Showcase built the two-day convex and evening awards ceremony over a 24-hour period, involving a crew of 40 and Showcase’s four-person management team.
