Over the two days 160 world-class speakers are on stage who share core business insights on topics such as marketing to the next generation, shifts in consumer trends, how to build brand loyalty in an increasingly fluid market, creating workplace cultures comfortable with change, and much, much more. There are case studies, panel debates, interactive workshops and disruptive start-ups a plenty. It provides truly unique experiences for delegates and sponsors alike.
As this was our 3rd year delivering the event we were tasked with creating more simplistic designs but to create a hint of class to key features. Whilst simplistic we needed to keep creativity at the forefront. Also following the launch of the Showcase AVi exhibition services department, we were appointed to design an deliver exhibition stands, power and branding graphics for the whole show making us sole provider for the event. To manage the ordering process we designed and built a dedicated, event branded ecommerce web shop for online purchasing solely for this event.
Design – with over 30 technical drawings and visual renders our design, technical and exhibition team worked together to bring the ideas of the brief together. All elements were designed from scratch.
Exhibition stands, tasked with simplicity we provided ‘off the shelf’ packages that had an angled wedge shaped design with built in sockets and wall lights. The exhibitor was able to select from two options, which were then fully branded stands with furniture. Within this event we were also appointed by two exhibitors to build be-spoke designs and stands for the event.
Power – given this was a conference venue we distributed power to the stands from the ceiling, so that there was no ground ramps and cleaner isles when delegates roamed the floor. This was the first time the show had done this but the Showcase team achieved this by configuring a power plan installation which flowed from rigging points within the ceiling and dropped to dedicated and specific stand areas of the show.
Main stage – this compromised of a traditional back set fabric wall in 3 sections. A full print was used to main backdrop and using LED back light a 3m CNC section of logo was fixed to give the photographic and camera opportunities when shot.
20K laser projection was used for imagery to stage right and left with full seamless switching and a two camera shoot.
Audio, the latest line array series of D&B was installed to cover the space of 700 which sure the use of playback audio and UHF microphones. The audio and video were both related to one of the tracks for any oversubscription in audience.
Lighting – all LED fixtures were used for both up lighting and downlighting to stage and the use of haze was used for more dramatic effect.
Tracks – 4 tracks were designed all with individuality. Walls were constructed to create the space to each area. The walls had full fabric wraps to them using the high quality dye-sub material, this meant the walls were full branded given an excellent backdrop to each space. One of the tracks saw a woodland created with a combination of palms, trees and ferns to the perimeter and living wall to a section of the backdrop.
Another stage saw the use CNC branding back lit with LED given a subtle glow to the backdrop. Track 4 saw a be-spoke designed retro lightbulb installation to the walls and the truss pole system, which had pendant lighting hanging in the area giving the space a very warm glow. All furniture for the areas was selected and installed by the Showcase team again with each space giving individuality.
AV to these areas was simplistic switching of content and Slido. Audio was using Showcase AVi’s own 4 channel silent audio system using the UHF headsets allowing to select between stages and listen to content
5 feature areas were designed, built and delivered. This included small start up zone which saw Showcase AVi aluminium products being used with full Foamex graphics, furniture and AV installed to them. Speaker lounge which was sponsored saw its best use of space yet giving speaker presentation checks, catering, private meeting area and high end designer furniture and plants, all supplied by Showcase AVi.
A news and video room was installed which had glass frontage with raw timber finishes to the space.
Finally a dedicated shopping arcade was designed and installed so small pop-up stores that attended the show could service the exhibitors and delegates when at the show. This included full branded walls.
The event was installed over two days (24 hours a day) and removed in 4 hours by 40 Showcase AVi. The production was fully designed, created and managed by the team in the UK. Pre planning meetings and story boards were created for the content to be displayed on all platforms on main stage.
