Bett MEA, held in Abu Dhabi, is the region’s leading EdTech Leadership Summit and Exhibition.
Brief
We were contracted to supply the full technical production, design, build and installation that was to be held at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This brief was to facilitate multiple stage sets, silent headset system and feature builds for their key partner Microsoft. Continuing on from year one the event was to be tweaked based on upscaling the increase in audience for the event.
Solution
The solution was to create a main stage set for main plenary which used rear projection laser technology. A full set backdrop was included which was then uplit with LED batten and front stage wash. The line array system was specified and ground stacked to cover the area which was situated in the main exhibition hall.
Two additional break out sessions run simultaneously to the main stage so we had to eb considerate and avoid noise pollution. With this we used a silent headset system that run on 4 channels, this allowed for continuation of all session to run together.
The Microsoft sessions saw the use of two large 9m LED back drops which used the latest 2.6mm LED technology and picture in picture functionality. The internal event ran concurrently with the main BETT show and was delivered by the Showcase AVi team across all areas of the event.
Delivery
The event delivery was seamless from arriving in Abu Dhabi ad delivered by our team from the Dubai region. Installation, rehearsals and live event ran smoothly, safely and on time ahead of scheduled rehearsals and the event was dismantled and loaded back on the truck before the client tenancy agreement was due to finish.
3D Renders, CAD and space plans were designed and produced inhouse at Showcase AVi and submitted to venue and client for approval pre event.
The Outcome
The event was again a huge success and delivered to all areas without issue. After continually working on this event for the last 4 years Showcase are looking to extend their continued relationship with the BETT event across several regions.
