The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Innovation awards recognise and celebrate the very best new innovations across the breadth of science, engineering and technology. This year’s awards event was held at The Brewery London.
Brief
Following the successful delivery of an 2018 event with IET, Showcase AVi were approached by the client to provide services for the 2019 Innovation Awards event. The contract remit was to provide consultancy services for pre-production and technical production management for the live aspects of the event. The brief also included delivery of the event branding opportunities and the design of all content for the event.
Solution & Delivery
Showcase AVi liaised directly with the venue, managing the set up with the in-house team, to ensure that IET’s AV requirements were fully met. Showcase AVi provided consultancy in regards to the contractual agreement between IET and the venue as well as specifications for the audio visual equipment and set elements.
The remit included the design and content creation for the entire production. The key deliverables were to provide a professional and engaging end product and to maximise branding opportunities.
In order to ensure maximum IET brand viability throughout the venue, Showcase AVi printed a range of branded artworks on a low-tac vinyl so they could be easily and strategically positioned throughout the venue. Furthermore, IET branded metal and glass gobos were produced and used within conjunction with the professional lighting systems to ensure they caught the guests’s eye when they were seated at dinner.
Outcome
Overall, the event was a complete success and the collaboration of Showcase AVi managing the in-house team worked effectively. The audience were engaged from start to finish and IET were very complimentary of Showcase AVi role within the event.
