Brief
We were contracted to supply the full technical production, design, build, installation with LED backdrop, full lighting and audio in all conference and exhibition areas. This was the second event of a two year contract and continuing on from year one, the event followed the same look and feel as the previous year.
For the second year the event was held in Malaysia’s capital city Kuala Lumpur.
Solution
4mm LED screen using a watchout system to display background layers and content to multiple positions on screen. In the main plenary we supplied a split screen of 27m wide, which had the facility to split between 3 streams – this was needed due to the short turnaround times within the events schedule.
The audio system was point source ground stacked system with wireless microphone system.
In addition to managing all the AV within the exhibition we also supplied a dedicated team to BETT’s technology partner; Microsoft which included a breakout session utilising a stage set and projection system.
All background layers, content production and digital sponsors logos were designed and managed by the Showcase team.
Delivery
The event delivery was seamless from arriving in Kula Lumpur at the venue to offload, installation, rehearsals and live event. The event was installed safely and on time ahead of scheduled rehearsals and the event was packed down loaded back on the truck before the client tenancy agreement was up.
3D Renders, CAD and space plans were designed and produced in-house at Showcase AVi and submitted to the venue and client for approval prior to the event.
The Outcome
The event was again a huge success and delivered to all areas without issue. After continually working on this event for the last 4 years Showcase are looking to extend their continued relationship with the BETT event across several regions.
