Brief
To provide technical production and branding for the one day event which would feature a live audience with some in-person speakers and some remote. Also to facilitate the annual Future Retail Challenge where students pitch retail business ideas to a panel of experts with a mix of both presenters and panellists remote and in-person.
Solution
The main auditorium in the venue was used as it contained a cinema screen. A custom printed footer was created for the stage to mask the bottom of the screen creating an ultra-wide screen using the venue cinema projector. Remote connections were established for presenters who were not able to attend due for various reasons including travel restrictions. All footage was captured for editing at a later date including footage from the breakout rooms and Future Retail Challenge.
