About the Spring Fair @Home event
Spring Fair @Home converted from live event and exhibition over to virtual to provide 25 hours of exclusive live content sessions with key industry-leading speakers from Facebook, Mintel, Colour Hive, Trend Bible and more. Their live studio was hosted by Sasha Qadri in Showcase’s live stream studio at St. Ermin’s Hotel in Westminster and streamed to 15,500 registered attendees. Go Spring Fair @Home!
Brief
To create an engaging virtual event for the first time, this involved providing streaming facilities to take our live event online. Technical requirements involved managing remote presenter dial ins for both the event itself and rehearsal days. Showcase also provided the live studio environment with host anchoring, they were also asked to produce a broadcast quality look and feel with interjecting advert breaks. Finally Showcase was tasked with the role of technical production company to provide secure, streaming to third party platform.
Solution
To fulfil the brief, Showcase created the video sting content as well as background layers and award show pre-records and edits. They also provided the live autocue and enabled the remote dial in of the presenters. On top of this Showcase created the live studio host linking segways and delivered full HD broadcast cameras and feeds.
Delivery
Showcase delivered all live interviews including panel sessions and the pre-event rehearsals with all presenters, they also offered redundancy in internet and power incase of outage. Other deliverables included: live Q&A sessions, 2D virtual studio with multiple camera shots and content creation. Reflecting the current times Showcase also provided Covid compliant social distancing studios and control room.
A hugely successful event streamed live to 15,500+ registered attendees.
