About the event:
PropTech Connect is all about connecting leading organisations and cutting-edge technology solutions to be the catalyst for innovation in real estate. The two-day event was held this September at the O2 Intercontinental, where it was host to over 3000 attendees with more than 1000 companies, 100+ speakers and 15,000 meetings.
PropTech Connect was designed to bring together key players within the Real Estate sector to become the premier platform for cultivating a Global Real Estate ecosystem. The event aimed to facilitate the creation of new partnerships and future collaboration.
Brief:
This was the first event of this size for the client as they were a new company. Showcase was briefed to design and deliver three stages. The main stage had space for 600 delegates, while the second stage had space for 100 delegates and the third stage had space for 50 delegates. Showcase was tasked to design and deliver all the exhibition stands, about 30 in total. They also had to create a website so that exhibitors could select and pay for additional accessories for their stands like furniture, AV, plants and electricity.
Solution:
Thanks to Showcase’s experience and knowledge of working at the O2 Intercontinental they were well placed to provide expertise in AV, Production and Project Management and share their experience and guidance for a successful event. They scheduled regular meetings to communicate progress to ensure that they could deliver the brief to their client’s expectations. Due to the scale of this project, a second project manager was assigned to look after the exhibition stands and deal directly with exhibitors to assist with their specific questions.
Delivery:
Showcase was given only one day to build this event. During this time their 50-strong created three stages covering two floors, 30 exhibition stands and provided event furniture for the speakers’ lounge. The event was dismantled and de-rigged all within eight hours.
