To design an exhibition using digital and print content to showcase works that were entered at Cannes Lions 2019. Google wanted it to be a creative experience and a workshop presentation, that allowed advertising agency staff to “see the artwork” at the London event held in the YouTube studios.
Our design for the exhibition space involved using OSB and printed Foamex boards which were lit with LED strip lights. Various sized screens installed were either on constant loop or controlled through iPad’s, so they could both scroll and play the entrees work. A presentation area was designed and built using an uplit acrylic stage and AV system to show the content.
The production was fully designed, created and managed by our team in the UK. All fabrication and construction was carried out from our build facility and installed by the dedicated team on-site. H&S documents, process and accreditations were followed. The result was both a demonstration of our team’s creativity and ability to work to extremely tight deadlines. – we were only appointed the week before the event. Thanks to our talented team, Google said that this was their best event of the tour and commented on how supportive the Showcase team was in both pre-production and on-site.
