About the event
Speaking Office is a bespoke management company representing talented individuals with unique, powerful and interesting ideas worth sharing. This online virtual event was to showcase their talent pool of speakers and presenters. The event was filmed and streamed during lockdown in January 2021 at Showcase’s London Live Studio in Bankside Hotel.
Brief
Showcase was commissioned for the full production of this virtual event that was streamed out to decision makers, booking peers and other speaking booking companies within the events industry.
The remit included filming live Q&A presentations on stage, editing and final event streaming. Two of the presenters were located off-site and had to be dialled in remotely.
The event was hosted on Showcase’s online platform which was tailored to reflect the event’s branding.
Solution
The event was filmed on stage in Showcase’s live studio at Bankside Hotel with BBC Host Sally Bundock anchoring on stage in front of a 7m x 2.5m LED screen with branded graphics. Filmed with broadcast cameras, the live Q&A session was combined with remote dial in streaming of two of the speakers.
The live session was complemented by an online group chat and Q&A feed within the online platform to allow audience participation and engagement.
Delivery
Showcase was responsible for creating, hosting and running the event, which was filmed, produced and streamed from their studios at Bankside Hotel during lockdown. This meant careful planning was needed to adhere to stringent COVID guidelines. The feedback was extremely positive with one attendee stating ‘I thought that the production quality last night was exceptionally good – the best I have seen throughout the whole pandemic and months of virtual events’.
