Following the success of their first Live Studio at St. Ermin’s and due to overwhelming demand, Showcase is excited to announce the launch of their second event streaming studio at Bankside Hotel London.
This second studio mirrors the services offered at St. Ermin’s Hotel, these include: event streaming for fully virtual and hybrid events using a combination of film and green screen technology. Our collaboration with these two hotels has been carefully planned to provide both a safe and inspiring environment for recording Virtual Events (increasing in popularity in today’s climate), and also the ability to host Hybrid Events when restrictions are eased. Partnering with the hotels has been key to the success of the ‘Virtual Event offering’, Ben Collings, Managing Director comments: “Over the past six months streaming and online meetings and events have become commonplace, much of which is done over zoom or in a warehouse studio environment. I had a real passion to deliver a Virtual Event that was more than just what I’ve described. I wanted to offer our clients a service that reflected the technical and production values people associate with our live events. Our collaboration with the hotels means we have a professional and safe environment for key speakers and organisers to meet and record content. When restrictions on numbers are eased we can deliver Hybrid Events that include catering and accommodation packages – providing a true event scenario”.
Showcase has created a green screen studio at Bankside as well as converting the hotel’s inspiring White Box space into a Hybrid Event venue. The green screen studio comprises a 7m wide backdrop and floor with 2 camera broadcast. An onsite full editing suite combines green screen technology with 3D animation and effects to bring speakers in different locations to the event stage. The hybrid set up has been carefully designed with the flexibility to comply with government regulations and guidelines. Housed in the hotel’s White Box, a 7m x 2m curved 2.6mm pitch SMD LED screen with 82” relay screens has been set up creating an impressive backdrop for an event. Multiple camera positions are set up for streaming the event out to the dedicated virtual platform stream.
Bankside Hotel, a creative hub on the South Bank provides an inspiring destination for any meeting or event, with eclectic artworks and handpicked furniture in every room and public space. In times when event planners and organisers have been restricted to backdrops of bookshelves and home offices, Bankside provides a welcome and inspirational alternative.
Showcase’s dedicated ‘virtual online platform’ provides a true event experience, with the ability to create excitement during lead-up as well as hosting the event. The portal can be tailored to your needs, options include: delegate registration with an e-commerce option to manage all ticket purchasing should your event be pay-to-attend. Hybrid events comprise of a mix of a physical audience in a traditional venue and a virtual audience, making it the perfect option for a confex or awards ceremony. Hybrid enables large audience participation in a world where delegate numbers are restricted and in times when travel is not an option.
