Spring Fair is the UK’s most vibrant marketplace for wholesale home, gift and fashion. As the definitive “shop for shops”, they support the retail industry like no other. The live event is held at the NEC Birmingham in February across four days, designed around three key buying destinations – Home, Gift and Moda Fashion.
To create an aesthetically interesting main stage area that reflected the professionalism of both the brand and the exhibitors, as well as engaging the in-person audience. Showcase was also responsible streaming the event for the virtual audience.
Showcase initially met with the client to discuss the visual and space planning aspect of the event, which in turn led to them creating visual renders to show the final product. The result was a large 2.6mm LED wall, along with a comfort screen for presenters to see their slides and videos.
They also created a vibrant professional space with presenter access, this was designed to allow presenters to be greeted backstage, have microphones attached, so they could walk out from the rear onto the stage to present.
Showcase installed live cameras to capture the content and presenters, which they then mixed and displayed down the stream to the online viewers. Their audio system allowed the in-person audience to clearly hear the presenters in a busy exhibition environment.
As well live streaming the event, Showcase also captured video content and edited onsite for future on demand content.
Showcase adopted a sustainable approach with items designed and to be reused across multiple events.
Spring Fair, a three-day live event, involved a two-day installation, four technicians, one dedicated project manager, a local crew of four people as well as eight set builders. The derig then took six hours.the event required two arctic lorries.
“To be involved with Spring Fair on both the in-person and hybrid elements was a real privilege. This is a true sign that our professional relationship with Hyve is stronger than ever and we look forward to it continuing on both .”
