Brief:
Following the success of Showcase’s delivery on the 2022 & 2023 events, their client Ascential contracted them to deliver sponsor lounges and networking areas for the 2024 event. Showcase was also contracted by individual exhibitors including; Walletto, HPS, Decta, DGPays, BlackCatCard and Episode 6 to create their stands.
Solution:
Convera
This year Convera increased the size of its space compared to the previous year when Showcase had created its stand; they did this as they desired more impact as well as an increased number of networking areas and a greater guest experience.
Showcase was briefed to make an impactful statement with careful space planning and clever use of digital surfaces. The space was divided into areas and levels. The large ground floor area provided networking zones, seating & catering areas and two container-style rooms, these were designed and built to provide a closed meeting room and a podcast studio.
Large digital screens created engaging and strong statements throughout the main floor, this area included a welcome desk with a 2.6mm LED screen and an area to host pop-up talks featuring a 2.6mm curved-shaped LED screen for open content sessions. Lounge areas were created using Showcase’s collection of high-end furniture, complemented by plants for a relaxing ambience. A chill and charge lounge featuring multi-power use pods was created with European/UK/USA charging stations and power banks to encourage visitors to stay. A sushi bar was designed and built to provide refreshments for their visitors and guests.
The design and installation of the two container-style rooms provided a double-height surface for impactful graphics. Built using a crane, Showcase designed the structures with glass LED panels within them to allow content to be played around them. The glass also provided the benefit of the ability to look through/out into the show.
The 1st floor of the container was designed and built as a podcast streaming studio, providing the presenter and guests with a great view of the show floor.
The lower floor room was designed and set up as a private meeting room, with high table and chairs from Showcase’s furniture collection.
Discover
Showcase tweaked the designs and layout from the previous year to deliver an overall space with a balance of meeting rooms and open, welcoming networking spaces. The space was carefully designed to provide 360 access, allowing guests to navigate. Central to the design was the installation of a double-backed LED screen which divided the welcome desk and catering station. Content was played on both sides allowing messaging to be seen from all angles. The overall design provided a welcoming, open-plan, island-style space that visitors could naturally gravitate to from the show floor.
