During the pandemic, Hyve expanded into digital events, many of which were delivered by Showcase. Due to the success of these virtual and hybrid events Hyve realised they needed their own studio as it would be more efficient, flexible and cost effective.
Brief
Showcase were commissioned to design and build a bespoke multifunctional
studio space studio for Hyve at their Head Office in London.
Solution
Hyve called on Showcase for this project as the client had been impressed with the expertise and ability Showcase had shown when they had worked on their previous digital events. Hyve also realised that the process would be an efficient one, as Showcase knew Hyve’s approach to virtual and hybrid events inside and out.
The studio needed to be a multi-purpose space, with the ability to change to their multiple brands that sit under Hyve PLC. Showcase decorated the studio to a high standard to provide the necessary professional backdrop for the live stream recordings. Showcase also had to employ their space designing skills, as Hyve wanted the studio to accommodate a panel up to eight and also have space for up to 30 people.
Technically, Showcase provided the correct infrastructure to allow remote connections to all other offices around the world. This studio also forms part of Hyve’s Onmi-channel strategy, as well as being the host studio for Hyve TV their own internal TV service for communicating updates and information to the company.
Delivery
Showcase worked with the client to plan and transform the existing office space into a ‘ready to go live’ production studio. The team created 3D renderings and full technical plans to allow the client to visualise, and sign off, before building the studio. Showcase also helped with the specification and procurement of new and installed equipment. The full production studio is furnished with stage, backdrop and furniture and has state-of-the-art PTZ cameras, green screen area and dedicated server storage. As well as the creation of the physical studio, every detail of the technical event delivery was also considered and factored into the design and build. The server has full secure remote access allowing the team to access it from anywhere.
