Brief:
When being introduced to Informa, Showcase’s knowledge and experience of high-quality events at the venue as well as being an approved supplier to O2 Intercontinental, London played a big part in being awarded the contract.
Solution:
The event took place in the Arora Ballroom of the 02 Intercontinental, London. A key part of the event is the demo sessions where new technologies and software’s are presented to a panel and an awards show is undertaken with the winner announced at the event.
ARORA BALLROOM
For the main stage area with a 600-seater audience, Showcase created the stage and set which involved a 36SQM HD projection blend surface, with presenters emerging from the rear, moving head lighting for effects, atmosphere, camera relay to the exhibition area, records and mixed to backstage greenroom spaces and monitors for hosts to view. With the demos being short at 7minutes the system was designed to allow the stage to be lit and active whilst the next demo was being setup and made ready –the sessions then flip flopped with back-to-back demos for two days integrated with keynotes and panel sessions.
Within the exhibition space of the Arora Ballroom were a series of premium exhibition stands, custom build stands and the lounges. Showcase was also responsible for relaying live camera content from the main stage to a large projection surface. To enhance this area Showcase provided audio systems for background music, lighting, moving head lighting and haze machines.
There was a one-day build, half day of snagging and rehearsals then into a live pact two-day demo and content filled event.
