It’s great to receive recognition for the effort and support we give to our clients on their events and there is no grander recognition than an Industry Award, of which we are pleased to be finalists in the category “Best Awards Event Production (on the night) for Awards Awards 2018
We have been nominated in relation to the solution we designed and supplied for Ascential’s World Retail Awards, Dubai in April last year.
We were briefed to enhance the delegate experience creating an impactful and impressive affect through the Audio Visual Technology design that would immerse and engage the audience, whilst overcoming the challenges of being the same venue as the previous year, using the same space as the Congress and only having 60 minutes from the congress finishing to the World Retail Awards starting.
We worked closely with Asential’s operations team and became one, together our ideas, plans, designs and creativity came to life.
Once the congress came to a close the arena was transformed, the main stage was utilised and turned into three sections. To create the “wow” factor we proposed a “Kabuki Drop” to open the awards which had never been done before at this event.
Our team removed one of the flown 10m screens and replaced with a new 8m ground support projected surface. To enhance sponsorship exposure, 3 LED screens were positioned strategically on the outer edge of the arena, 1,400 chairs were removed and replaced with round tables and dining chairs to accommodate a seated dinner. Dedicated safety riggers had to install the static points in the ceiling, for the Aerial Artists to attach their silks to. With this being overhead work the area below had to be kept clear for health and safety reasons, another imperative consideration.
The event on the night demonstrated innovation and creativity through the use of technology to enhance sponsorship packages. Everything was successfully achieved and the feedback was outstanding.

It was a pleasure to work with Ascential on this event for the 2nd year running and we look forward to the awards ceremony later this year. We hope to win in our category, but for now we are delighted to be finalists!
