The Festival Supplier Awards were launched in 2014 to recognise the achievements and hard work of outdoor event and festival suppliers.

Already firmly established as an excellent evening of celebration and networking, the awards is held in London’s Hurlingham Club in January.

The award categories cover a multitude of outdoor event essentials, from staging, crowd management, temporary structures and crewing to crowd barriers, toilets, technology and glamping. There are also awards to recognise green suppliers and production teams.

Brief

Following on from the successful delivery of the FSA awards in 2018 we were approached by the event organisers to deliver 2019. This included a re-design of the stage set to enhance the visibility of content for all guests and bring in an element of digital display to easily change the look and feel.

The new design was modelled by our in-house design team and along with 2D CAD plans the 3D renders were submitted to the client who signed them off straight away.

Solution

The event was a 1 day install with awards that night and de-rig post awards. All equipment was installed before the required time and rehearsals went as planned. The evening was a great success and positive comments from the guests on the new design for the stage set.

The overall installation saw a mixture of LED columns and laser projection to create the digital backdrop. All media playback of the awards night ran through the projection screens and sponsors logos and animated effects ran through the LED columns

The audioscape used ground stacked micro array with sub’s and full range side and front fill speakers. This was used for the awards and then after party which followed the event.

Lighting was designed using a selection of Robe LED beam and wash moving lights, Wireless LED Uplighters which create the scenes for both awards and after party.

Delivery

The event was a 1 day install with awards that night and de-rig post awards. All equipment was installed before the required time and rehearsals went as planned.

The production was fully designed, created and managed by the Showcase team. H&S documents, process and accreditations were used for this show.

Outcome

The evening was a great success and positive comments from the guests on the new design for the stage set.
