Venue:
Event type: Confex
About the event:
Decta commissioned Showcase to design their Space Only stand at Money20/20. The space, with two open sides, gave Showcase’s creative team the chance to flex their design muscles.
The Showcase design team took Decta’s brand guidelines and examples of exhibition stands that appealed to the client to fulfil the design and build brief. The client’s taste for curves and glowing logos were incorporated into the design for maximum impact. As with most exhibition stand designs, a practical storage solution was required and therefore incorporated within the stand design.
Brief:
Decta commissioned Showcase to design their Space Only stand at Money20/20. The space, with two open sides, gave Showcase’s creative team the chance to flex their design muscles.
The Showcase design team took Decta’s brand guidelines and examples of exhibition stands that appealed to the client to fulfil the design and build brief. The client’s taste for curves and glowing logos were incorporated into the design for maximum impact. As with most exhibition stand designs, a practical storage solution was required and therefore incorporated within the stand design.
Solution:
Having previously worked on Money20/20, Showcase had an in-depth knowledge of the venue, this allowed them to offer Decta invaluable advice that would have a positive impact on their exhibition stand. To ensure that the exhibition stand matched the client’s vision and requirements, design meetings were held in the lead-up to Money20/20. These meetings also ensured that Decta was aware of the progress being made throughout the entire creative journey.
Showcase’s creative designer produced visuals which responded to the initial brief; a curved LED wall for content and glowing logos were feature points. These glowing logos were CNC cut and were surrounded by LED lighting to give them the desired halo effect. A glowing ‘D’ appeared on the reception desk, the same techniques were used, resulting in a real stand-out element.
The remit also included the production of the printed elements, Showcase collated all the print -ready artwork and advised on the technical specifications. Showcase mapped out all the electrical requirements for the stand and offered a range of suitable flooring solutions as well as providing the stand furniture.
Delivery:
The exhibition stand was built over two days to Decta’s agreed budget and design. Showcase’s AV technicians ensured that the client’s content was displayed correctly and in the correct format. A clever finishing touch for the stand were the LED glow strips that Showcase used to cap the edge of the stand’s archway. Showcase’s furniture complemented the exhibition stand’s design perfectly.
